Ashley Wagner was given birth to on May 16, 1991, in Heidelberg. Ashley spent her teenage years hanging around older girls. It affected her self-esteem as she believed they were older, and according to her more attractive in comparison to her. Ashley admits to being a "hot mess" as a teenager. Ashley's mother enrolled her into modeling courses in order to build her confidence. Ashley considered becoming a model in the fashion industry for a career. When she was told that she was insufficiently tall to be a model, Ashley considered becoming a lawyer, and pursuing a degree in psychology. Ashley actually convinced her family to let her go to an institution that has an integrated law and psychology programme. In the past, she worked in establishments. Like her other peers Ashley is already filming roles that aren't part of in the Twilight series. She said in the past she was hoping to become a Bond-girl and Wonder Woman.
