Jenna Fischer is best known for playing Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office For her role, she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in an Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna was a child who watched her mother Anne performing in church plays. This instilled in her a passion for theater.
She's a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
In the month of October, Fischer and The Office actor and friend Angela Kinsey started a podcast called Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform, which has been a huge success, landing within the Top Ten globally every week and receiving over 200 million downloads over its first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her first book, which describes the path she traveled from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actor professionally. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is a memoir of her best friend and their experience working in The Office.
